This spell may be cast in one of two ways. If it is used to target one creature and the creature is touched, then the effect is permanent. If cast as a burst effect, the effect lasts 1 round per level. The spell causes the affected creature to be touched by the forces of chaos and they take on the chaotic subtype. This does not change their actual alignment. If the effect is permanent, the creatures appearance changes in one random way. Roll 1d8: 1) grows horns, 2) turns red, 3) skin continually excretes slime 4) creatures skin becomes scaled 5) eyes change to different colors, hair becomes curly or straight, 6) one eye becomes catlike and the other reptilian 7) creature grows fangs 8) creature grows a tail. The new appearance change will subtract -1 from the creatures reaction adjustments to non chaotic-type creatures.
Some material, item, or creature that has the Chaotic subtype.
A subtype usually applied only to outsiders native to the chaotic-aligned Outer Planes. Most creatures that have this subtype also have chaotic alignments; however, if their alignments change they still retain the subtype. Any effect that depends on alignment affects a creature with this subtype as if the creature has a chaotic alignment, no matter what its alignment actually is. The creature also suffers effects according to its actual alignment. A creature with the chaotic subtype overcomes damage reduction as if its natural weapons and any weapons it wields were chaotic-aligned (see Damage Reduction, below).
